These people are absolute cowboys. They took over 5 weeks to repair my car which when I went to pick it up it was not repaired correctly at all. There was at least half a dozen repairs not done. After I reported to it to the woman on reception she told me to wait half an hour to talk to someone so I decided to go to the shop to get a few bits while I waited. On my return I discovered they had dragged my car back in the workshop, put it on a ramp and applied some paste onto the unrepaired front wing of the car. I then asked them to take my car off the ramp and I would pay them for the repairs they have done and have the remaining repairs done somewhere else as I thought they wasn't up to the job and considering the repairs were costing me the best part of £4000 I also explained I was now very unhappy with them snatching my car back into the garage and defacing it without my agreement. It went downhill from there, they was horrible. They refused to explain why the repairs hadn't been done correctly, Told me "you have to let us repair it for us it's our right!" And refused to let me have my car even though I was offering to pay for what they had already repaired. They also refused to let me see the managers who was giving the orders hiding in a office upstairs! They even had to call fords at sandicllife to ask for advise on how to do a repair on the inside off the boot!. Eventually after paying the £4000 I got my car back to discover the turbo (it was a gti 2 yr old) was playing up I then took it to a different garage and was told I needed a new turbo as there was severe damage to it but he couldn't work out why as my car was only 2 and asked had my car been in a garage for any work I told him only the bodywork had been done in jacksons and the problems I'd had with them. I was then told by this new machanic he knows of as least half a dozen people he knew that have had problems with them and at least 2 people he knew had needed new parts after having disputes with Jacksons coachworks with one persons engines blowing up after water mysteriously disappeared which had been topped up only a fortnight before!. Yes sabotage is suspected. Jacksons also have a array of signs for recommendation by major insurance company's, after confronting them about this they admitted that they don't do any work for them so I suggested they should take them down as they are misleading and basically conning people to belive they are qualified (I reported this to trading standards along with the other issues) I also discovered at the time my car was repaired they had nobody working there who was qualified to do the job. So basically if your thinking of using this garage' think again you'll be sorry! I should have gone to the back street garage I first took it to, They quoted me £2000 and for the Service I got at jacksons would have been a bargain and probably alot better than these idiots. Beware!
